SMTA interested in Military RoHS Issues

Folks,

I just chatted with JoAnn Stromberg of the SMTA, she is enthusiastic for the SMTA to be a focal point for folks that are interested in working together to share information Re strategies for companies performing military electronic assembly in the new RoHS world. SMTA would be interested in establishing workshops and sessions at shows like SMTAI dedicated to the general topics in this field.

I could envision workshops such as "How to Continue to Obtain Components with Leads that are Tinned with Lead Bearing Solder" or "Maintaining High Reliability Assembly in a RoHS Compliant World." If you are interested in helping SMTA develop such programs contact JoAnn at joann@smta.org.

Cheers,

Dr. Ron
