LEVEL I: SMT Basics
This two-day seminar will cover the basics of SMT assembly, and train you on software that will help you understand the process in greater detail. The software is included with the course.
Upon successful completion of Level I, you will be able to:
- Understand and describe the basic SMT assembly processes: printing, dispensing, placement, reflow, wave solder, cleaning, and test.
- Perform simple stencil design, manually and using StencilCoachTM software.
- Perform simple Line Balancing using LineCoachTM simulator software.
- Establish the proper reflow profile for a given solder paste, manually and using ReflowCoachTM software.
- Establish wave solder machine parameters, manually and using WaveCoachTM software.

LEVEL II: Line Optimization
The second level of the Productivity Improvement Workshop series enables you to systematically analyze and optimize your production line.
Upon your successful completion of Level II, you will be able to:
- Use AuditCoach™ to evaluate your line’s productivity strengths, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Use Design of Experiments (DOE) and the AuditCoach™ software tools to address your opportunities for improvement.
- Develop a Continuous Improvement Plan (CIP) for your facility.
