Biography
Bill Macartney is the Regional Manager for California and Nevada residing in Reno, NV. He has been with Indium Corporation since 1996. He is responsible for growing Indium’s market share by coordinating all sales and technical activities for Indium’s full product line, including solder paste, solder preforms, fluxes, thermal interface materials, and die-attach materials. In addition, Bill supports a regional team of sales representatives and distributors.
Bill has a bachelor’s degree in History from Trinity College in Hartford, CT. He has been a member of the SMTA since 1997 and was a chapter officer for Silicon Valley in 2000 and 2001. He is currently (2011) an officer for Orange County/LA chapter.
Bill enjoys skiing, travel, camping, and ice hockey. He also loves driving his 1973 Cadillac Eldorado soft top and is a season ticket holder for the Reno Aces baseball team.
