Biography
Mike Fenner is a researcher in Indium’s Marketing and Technology Assessment Team. 
Formerly responsible for the technical support function of Indium Corporation’s European operations, Mike’s experience extends to electronics-grade solders and fluxes and conductive and non-conductive adhesives. He has been in the vanguard of a number of joining innovations in the electronics assembly industry, including the introductions of wave soldering, surface mount assembly, production vapour phase soldering, flux removal and phasing out CFC's, characterization of surface mount joining and cleaning products, and the development of innovative power die-attach processes (now standard industry practices). He has written numerous articles and papers on these topics as well as in other areas and is a member of British Standards committee EP/501.
Mike is a director, original member and former vice chairman and financial director of the United Kingdom SMART Group. He has worked at the BBC and has held senior positions in Alpha Metals, Dage, and Cookson.
Mike is a Fellow of the Institute of Circuit Technologists and of the Institute of Sales and Marketing Management. Mike lives near Banbury, Oxfordshire, UK where he is (still) renovating his 1962 TR4 sports car. He also enjoys bush camping in Africa whenever a surplus of time and cash coincide.
