Biography
Ross is responsible for Indium's full line of solder products and engineered materials for PCB Assembly, Semiconductor Packaging, Thermal Management, and Advanced Packaging as well as their Thin-Film and Alternative Energy Business.
Ross was instrumental in forging new marketing strategies which contributed to a significant increase in sales for Indium’s engineered solders, semiconductor packaging, and thermal interface materials. He also uncovered new marketing opportunities, which have provided expanded sales opportunities for Indium’s full line of solder products, including Indium's industry-leading NC-SMQ92J Solder Paste and other award-winning products.
Ross joined Indium Corporation in 1996 and has served in a variety of roles, including Director of Solder Products and Manager of Technical Service. He is an active member of a number of industry organizations, including the IPC, iNEMI, IMAPS, and the SMTA. He has published several technical papers and articles and has presented at technical conferences globally.
Ross has a Master's degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Cornell University, where he earned the Henny Wittink Memorial Marketing Prize and the George Caldwell Award. He lives in New Hartford, New York with his wife and two children. When he is not traveling or playing with the kids, you can usually find him on a stream, fly-fishing.
