Germanium is extracted from germanium bearing zinc ores or from certain coal ores, collecting the flue dusts after the burning process. It can occasionally be found in copper ores. We refine germanium at our facility in the USA.
In addition to refined germanium, Indium Corporation sells germanium compounds, such as germanium tetrachloride and germanium oxide. Please contact us for more information about germanium metals and compounds.

As more and more of the electronics industry moves toward (SMA) Subaquatic Microelectronics Assembly, questions have arisen regarding safety aspects, solder joint quality, and reflow profiling. We believe all 3 of these concerns can be resolved by using NanoFoil®. Happy April fool’s…
Today’s technology simplifies the translation of an idea into a design. A drawing can be dimensioned in an instant. Thermal models and strength of materials calculations predict the reliability of a solder joint before a single part is made. However, before we get to that point we must…
No matter how accurate the spray fluxer is there will at least be some flux that is not deposited on the board that needs to be removed from the system. I mentioned in my previous post that all spray fluxer setups need to have their own venting system, separate from the soldering station vent system. The…
