Indium Corporation Announces Devine, McCoy, Rivet Promotions

Indium Corporation, Utica’s Technology Company®, announces the promotions of Jim McCoy and Jeff Rivet.

Jim McCoy has been named Talent Acquisition Supervisor. McCoy is responsible for enhancing recruiting efforts, attracting top talent, and engaging in strategic community outreach activities to develop contact with groups and organizations. He also manages Indium Corporation’s internship program. McCoy joined Indium Corporation in 2014 as a Talent Acquisition Coordinator, and has made many contributions, including having led the company’s first job fairs in 2015 and 2017. He has developed close working relationships with hiring managers and members of the community, and has helped create and lead Indium Corporation’s summer college internship program. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Western New England College, and is working on his Master of Business Administration degree from the State University of New York Polytechnic (SUNY Poly) in Utica, NY. He is a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt and a graduate of the Dale Carnegie Leadership Skills for Success Program. McCoy is a member of the Herkimer BOCES curriculum advisory committee and serves on the Oneida-Herkimer-Madison P-TECH board.

Jeff Rivet has been promoted to Supervisor, Information Systems. Rivet is responsible for managing the Help Desk team and overseeing all hardware and applications and support activities. Rivet joined Indium Corporation in 2012 and has propelled multiple technological advancements, including improvements that allow for more efficient expansion capabilities and security features. He previously served as Group Leader – Network Administrator, leading the Help Desk, telecommunications, and networking teams. Rivet attended Mohawk Valley Community College for Mechanical Engineering and is a graduate of the Dale Carnegie Leadership Skills for Success Program.

In addition to McCoy’s and Rivet’s promotions, long-time employee Leo Devine has accepted the position of Business Analyst. In this role, he works closely with the sales and customer service teams across all sites to ensure that Indium Corporation’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system is successful and achieves customer and business goals. Devine joined Indium Corporation in 2000 and has served in a number of roles with the company, including Global Communications Manager, Product Line Manager, Global Accounts Specialist and most recently Northeast Regional Sales Manager. In addition to his position at Indium Corporation, Devine is a retired Lieutenant Colonel with the United States Air Force, having served for more than 23 years. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Arts and Computer Science from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York. He is also a graduate of the Defense Information Officer School and received his navigator aeronautical rating.
