Indium Corporation Promotes Briggs; Hires Laria

Indium Corporation, Utica’s Technology Company®, has promoted Ed Briggs to Senior Materials Engineer and hired Anthony Laria as Global ERP Operations Manager.

In his new role, Briggs provides both technical and sales support as it relates to key automotive initiatives. With his deep knowledge of materials, processes, and evolving requirements, Briggs is well positioned to support Indium Corporation’s continued expansion and growth in automotive electronics.

Briggs is an SMTA-certified process engineer. He earned his associate degree in chemical technology from Mohawk Valley Community College, where he received the Douglas J. Bauer Award for Excellence in Chemistry. In addition, he earned his Six Sigma Green Belt from Dartmouth College. Briggs joined Indium Corporation in 1990 and has held a variety of advancing positions in production and technical support.

Laria is managing the implementation and maintenance of a company-wide Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. His responsibilities also include education, training, and analysis of system effectiveness.

Laria has managerial experience in several industries and previously served as Director of IT at Rome Memorial Hospital, Northern Safety and Industrial Supply, and most recently with Amphenol Aerospace. He also served as a Senior Consultant/Principal at NYSTEC in Rome, managing their network and operations projects for New York State and New York City. Laria earned a bachelor’s degree in Computer and Information Systems from SUNY Poly.
