Reclaim and Recycle
Recycle Materials

Indium Corporation offers reclaim services of indium, germanium, gallium and tin for environmental and/or economic purposes. We reclaim materials such as: ITO, IZO, GIZO, spent targets and other left over materials from the bonding, sputtering and other processes. We reprocess germanium containing materials from Fiber Optics and other industries.

Most elements can be reclaimed into finished metallic or compound form. We reclaim at our facilities in the USA and Korea.

Call us to see if your materials qualify for our reclaim program, or email us at indiumreclaim@indium.com.

Strong Indium Supply And Availability Is Enhanced By Recycling

Wednesday, February 22, 2012 by Jim Hisert [view bio]

At first glance, a process like indium planar target sputtering seems ridiculous – generally only 30% of the indium actually makes it onto the substrate it is destined for (and that’s in a well-tuned process). As it turns out, the material that doesn’t land on the substrate is too valuable to just scrap. This translates into recycling, a lot of recycling...

ITO (Indium-Tin Oxide) Sputtering Target Reclaim/Recycling

Thursday, February 03, 2011 by Eric Bastow [view bio]

ITO is one of the materials that makes the magic of flat panel displays (monitors, TVs, etc.) possible. When sputtered on in a thin layer, it acts as a transparent conductive film. However, the process of sputtering is very inefficient in its use of ITO. And, with the explosion of flat panel display...
