Indium Corporation Announces Two New Hires

Indium Corporation, Utica's Technology Company®, is proud to announce the hiring of two new employees.

Alexa Blasi has been hired as a Global Logistics Manager; Huaguang Wang has been hired as a Research Metallurgist.  

Blasi is responsible for overseeing all aspects of global trade compliance requirements related to Indium Corporation's import or export of commodities, services, or technical data. She also provides guidance on managing global transportation spending and identifying cost-saving opportunities. 

As a Research Metallurgist, Wang is responsible for the research and development of high-reliability, low-temperature solders and bonding materials for use in electronics assembly applications, such as automotive electronics, mobile communications, and consumer electronics.

Blasi was most recently employed at Mohawk Global Logistics Corporation, where she held the positions of Customs and Trade Compliance Specialist and Import Coordinator. She also served as a Corporate Training & Development Specialist, and was responsible for overseeing and developing instructional training methods, as well as creating training manuals, online learning modules, and course materials. She earned her bachelor's degree in business administration, leadership, and management from the Madden School of Business at LeMoyne College. She is a Licensed Customs House Broker (LCHB) with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and a Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) through the National Customs Brokers & Forwarders Association of America, Inc.

Wang has significant experience in the R&D environment. He was previously employed as a Research Assistant at Michigan Technological University (MTU), where he was responsible for designing and synthesizing a novel metal/sepiolite nanocomposite for antibacterial and catalytic applications. He also evaluated the efficiency of a novel microwave heating system for materials expansion. Prior to MTU, Wang held positions at Winsert, Inc. in Marinette, WI and Central South University in Changsha, Hunan, China. He earned his bachelor's and master's degrees in metallurgical engineering from Central South University and his Ph.D. in materials science and engineering from Michigan Technological University.
