Indium Corporation Announces New Hires

May 4, 2018

Indium Corporation, Utica’s Technology Company®, welcomes two new employees to its technical team: Elaina Zito, Research Chemist, and Daniel Wisner, Manufacturing Process Engineer.

Zito is responsible for applied research and development activities inside and outside of the lab. She develops formulations of product-specific materials, performs material testing, and develops products from the initial stage to production and manufacturing.

Wisner is responsible for day-to-day engineering support for solder paste manufacturing. He also improves process efficiencies by identifying and solving problems through statistical and critical thinking, and assisting the quality and product management group.

Zito’s hiring marks a return to the company following a brief absence to further her education. She first joined Indium Corporation in 2015 as an R&D Laboratory Technician, before leaving the company to attain her master’s degree in chemistry from Syracuse University. She earned her bachelor’s degree in chemistry with a minor in mathematics from St. John Fisher College.

Wisner has extensive experience in the manufacturing environment and was previously employed as a materials and application lab manager at JH Rhodes Company, Inc. in Vernon, N.Y. He played a significant role in moving the company’s manufacturing facility and developed a site-wide information security program. He earned his bachelor’s in mechanical engineering technology from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT).
