Indium Corporation Expert to Participate in Charity Preform Webinar

Indium Corporation expert Graham Wilson, Applications Engineer, will share his industry expertise during a solder preform charity webinar on GoToWebinar at 2:30 p.m. BST, Wednesday, June 24. 

The webinar is free to join, but attendees are encouraged to donate a small amount to two chosen charities, Mind – Better Mental Health and

The webinar, Solder Preform World, will examine the creative world of solder preforms, from the basics to their current use as incredibly engineered options with a wide range of possibilities. Some topics to be covered include soldering applications, solder alloys, preform types, inspection, and process defects. The webinar will include a question and answer session. Attendees with specific questions or failure examples are encouraged to provide them before the event.

The webinar is organized and hosted by Bob Willis, an England-based trainer and consultant with more than 30 years of experience working with companies implementing surface mount technology (SMT) and area array technology, as well as most areas of electronics manufacturing. 

Wilson is an Applications Engineer for Indium Corporation and supports the company’s European-based customers. Wilson provides comprehensive technical advice in the selection, use, and application of solder paste, flux, and engineered solders to customers in electronics assembly, optoelectronics, thermal management, semiconductor packaging, and related industries. Wilson has over 10 years of experience in electronics assembly, during which time he has acquired significant experience in Pb-free implementation, production engineering, RoHS compliance, and component finishes, both domestically and internationally. Wilson has a degree in HNC Electronics from Nene University in Northampton and is certified as a Six-Sigma green belt through Dartmouth College’s Thayer School of Engineering.
