The event will include an address from William Durgin, SUNY Poly Provost, regarding The New SUNY Poly and a presentation by Indium Corporation's Brook Sandy-Smith, Technical Support Engineer for PCB Assembly Materials. Sandy-Smith will deliver a technical presentation entitled Hot Topics in Flux Technology and IPC Standards.

She earned two degrees from the international engineering program at the University of Rhode Island: one in chemical engineering with a focus on materials, the other in German language. Sandy-Smith serves as Secretary for the SMTA Empire Chapter.

The SMTA Empire Chapter is one in a network of chapters across the United States, South America, the Middle East, and Asia. The volunteer officers and leaders of SMTA local chapters plan events serving regional networks of industry professionals. For information on upcoming events, visit their website at www.smta.org.
