Indium Corporation Announces Promotions

Indium Corporation, Utica’s Technology Company®, is proud to announce the promotion of three employees.

 

Stephen Foster has been promoted to Plant Manager at Indium Corporation’s Clinton facility; Marlene Natale has been promoted to Quality Manager also at the Clinton Facility; and Gary Rotzler has been promoted to Quality Manager at the Business Park Drive facility in Utica.

 

Foster is responsible for ensuring that plant operations meet or exceed Indium Corporation’s goals. He is also responsible for building, leading, and managing the plant management team and ensuring that the facility and its personnel are operating safely and in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

 

Both Natale and Rotzler are responsible for ensuring compliance with quality management systems and product quality within their respective facilities. Natale and Rotzler also supervise and direct the day-to-day activities of the quality team within their facilities to ensure that Indium Corporation’s products and activities meet customer-specified requirements while adhering to quality policy, standards, and objectives. 

 

Foster joined Indium Corporation in June 2000. He was the first US-based Quality Engineer when the Quality Engineering Department was formed in 2003. He has been a leader in developing numerous quality methodologies, principles, and policies. He earned his bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from the State University of New York Polytechnic Institute and is currently pursuing an MBA from Utica College. He is an Exemplar Global Trained Auditor for ISO 9001 and IATF 16949. Additionally, he has earned his Six Sigma Brown Belt certification.

 

Natale joined Indium Corporation in 2015 as a Supplier Quality Engineer. Since that time, she has been responsible for providing quality assurance leadership in strategic procurement, the management of suppliers, conducting assessments related to supplier risk selection, and supplier performance evaluation. Prior to joining Indium Corporation, she served as a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer at Remington Outdoor Company. She earned her bachelor’s degree in mechanical and industrial engineering from Clarkson University and her associate degree in engineering science from Mohawk Valley Community College.

 

Prior to joining Indium Corporation in 2015, Rotzler held engineering and quality positions with Amphenol, was a Quality Manager for SHOP VAC, an injection molding facility; and was a Senior Quality Engineer for ConMed Corporation, focused on process validation, new product development, and change control. A highlight of his early career with Amphenol was his work on the development of connector systems for the International Space Station. Gary has earned ASQ Certifications, an industry mark of quality excellence, in Management of Quality/Organizational Excellence, Quality Engineer, and Software Quality Engineer. He also earned his Six Sigma Green Belt.
