Indium Corporation Expands Engineering Team

Indium Corporation has hired two new engineering managers, Carmen Salvatore and (James) Jung Jin-Young.

Salvatore will provide leadership and direction to the engineering team at the company's Business Park Drive facility in Utica, N.Y. Jung will oversee the engineering and quality teams at the company's facility in Cheongju, Korea.

In addition to team oversight, Salvatore and Jung will provide support for process optimization; management of technology transfers, product quality, and capital projects; and review of facility designs.

Salvatore has more than 20 years of experience in engineering disciplines. His previous experience includes extensive management of manufacturing and development projects, engineering organizations, and cross-functional teams. He has been recognized numerous times for outstanding project contributions, outstanding performance, and commitment and contribution to corporate goals. Salvatore earned his bachelor's degree, with honors, in electrical engineering technology from the State University of New York Institute of Technology and an associate's degree in electrical engineering technology from Mohawk Valley Community College in Utica, N.Y. Additionally, he holds a Six Sigma Green Belt certification.

Jung has more than 18 years of experience in compounds, manufacturing, and industry applications. His previous experience includes applying Six Sigma methodology to process and quality improvement, cost reduction, production, and troubleshooting activities. Jin-Young earned a bachelor's degree in chemistry, a master's degree in physical chemistry, and a master's degree in business administration from Chonbuk National University, South Korea.
