My internship at Indium Corporation is now more than half way over. Thus far, I have learned quite a bit of information on a broad range of subjects. One project that I am about to finish up is our inorganic compounds marketing campaign. The goal of this project is to generate a direct mail list. From that list, we plan to send a marketing message tailored to each person.
Before starting this internship, I wasn’t sure what kind of data analysis tasks I would be doing. It never crossed my mind that I would be working on a marketing project as well. There are many different ways to approach a marketing campaign. The approach I took was unconventional, but still had the same effects as traditional methods. Our end goal is to have an open rate of 20% along with a click rate of 5%. These numbers are based on past marketing campaigns.
