Indium Corporation, Utica’s Technology Company®, has named Michael Schmitt as Production Supervisor.
Based at Indium Corporation’s Rome facility, Schmitt is responsible for the oversight of several onsite production processes and the scheduling and management of employees. He also works with other departments to ensure product quality, meet on-time shipping requirements, and implement continuous improvement efforts.
Prior to joining Indium Corporation, Mike was an outside sales representative for Fastenal, a national provider of fasteners, tools, and supplies. He has many years of experience in the aerospace industry, working at General Dynamics (an American-based multinational aerospace and defense corporation) and the United States Air Force, where he was responsible for production control/plans and scheduling to ensure the effective and efficient maintenance and coordination of the unit’s operational flight scheduling. Schmitt earned his bachelor’s in Business Administration from SUNY Polytechnic Institute.
