Production Supervisor

Job Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day production operations, coordinate resources, and be lead support in the production team to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality output.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of job orders to meet production schedules and quality standards.
- Play a key part in driving continuous improvement, maintaining high standards of safety and quality, and supporting the professional development of team members.
- Support the planning and scheduling of production activities in collaboration with the Plant Manager and other departments.
- Oversee day to day manufacturing of solder paste, filling, labelling and packaging operations.
- Coordinate resources and workflow to meet production targets and maintain quality compliance.
- Maintain up-to-date SOPs and controlled documentation as directed.
- Support adherence to IATF and customer requirements.
- Participate in audits, CAPAs, and FMEA/Control Plan reviews as required.
- Promote safe working practices and compliance with HSE policies.
- Conduct routine risk assessments, safety inspections, and incident reporting.
- Encourage a proactive safety culture.
- Support the investigation of incidents and assist in the implementation of corrective actions.
- Apply Lean manufacturing principles in daily operations.
- Monitor production performance and report on key metrics to Plant Manager.
- Suggest and support process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Use production systems to record work, track inventory, and report scrap.
- Carry out other duties or projects as assigned by the Plant Manager.
- Supervise and support Production Operators.
- Train and guide team in standard work practices and safety procedures.
- Allocate daily tasks effectively and encourage participation in process improvement activities.
- Maintain positive team morale and communication.
- Support the Plant Manager in recruitment, training and performance management processes.
Requirements
- Several yearsโ proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment, ideally within industry, e.g., automotive, chemical, food, etc.
- Experience supervising or leading a small team in daily operations (desirable).
- Working knowledge of production processes, recourse allocation and workflow management.
- Understanding of quality systems and standards.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement tools.
- Experience using production planning or ERP systems for recording work orders, inventory and performance data.
- IT literate and competent in Microsoft Office and production data systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Numerate with the ability to analyse and present statistical data.
- Capable of prioritising and organising multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated, proactive and solutions focused.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Good problem-solving and decision-making ability with a creative and improvement focused mindset.
- High attention to detail and organisational skills.

- Qualifications: Manufacturing qualification advantageous (e.g. Lean, Continuous Improvement). Supervisory or team leader training desirable. 40hours per week. 7:30am to 4:15pm Monday to Thursday and 7:30am to 3pm Friday with 30min unpaid lunch each day.
