Product Overview
Germanium is a hard, brittle, grayish-white element. It is transparent to infrared light, which makes it useful for optical materials.
Optical Properties
High refractive index and low dispersion are crucial for use in fiber optics, where germanium is used in the fiber core to ensure total internal reflection.
