Job Responsibilities  

  • Provide engineering expertise to improve the efficiency and productivity of the company's operations.
  • Work with various departments to define the areas for automation, recommendation and implementation to achieve desired results. Provide the detailed cost estimates and schedule.
  • Propose and provide engineering solutions to improve operational bottlenecks and inefficient practices. This includes proposing alternatives on packaging materials, packaging machinery, and automated vehicle or handling systems.
  • Managing the transfer project on equipment, process, and operation from HQ or other sites to the company.
  • Spearheading the company improvement program and share with other sites. A regular update with other sites will be needed.
  • Developing potential partnerships for the off-site manufacturing of products for Indium.
  • Develop the capital budget with sound justification for management. Manage the Engineering department budget.
  • Lead LEAN concept, including LEAN practices in manufacturing and the office. Provide training to LEAN team members.
  • Oversee the maintenance of plant facilities and production equipment and ensure conformance to standards.
  • Develop, train, and create high morale with staff.
  • Participate in regular evening WebEx meetings with HQ.
  • Other tasks as assigned by Management.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a degree or above in electronics / mechanical engineering.
  • Additional business qualifications will be an advantage.
  • At least 8 years of related working experience preferably in an MNC.
  • Experience in engineering, and LEAN manufacturing.
  • Familiar with ISO, IATF standards in manufacturing.
  • Strong interpersonal skill in communication, with expertise in distilling complicated topics to a broader audience.
  • Self-motivated attitude with the ability to multitask and thrive in deadline driven environment.
  • Fluent in English - both spoken and written skills, with the ability to formalize presentations.
  • Able to work independently, as well as the ablity to work as a team player.
  • Leadership in managing a team.
  • Skilled n organization and project management.
  • Analytical skills for evaluating and solving complex issues.
  • Approachable, with the ability to respect and value staff members.
  • Comfortable reporting in a cross-functional structure.
