Solder Wire
Indium Wire
Indium metal is ideal for soldering and sealing with its low melting point, softness, and high conductivity. Our pure indium wire provides reliable hermetic seals and remains malleable at cryogenic temperatures. Manufactured to meet ASTM B-32, J-STD-006, and JIS-Z-3282 standards, Indium Corporation offers flexible manufacturing for both small and large orders.

Product Overview
Low Melting Point Wire
Indium wire has a melting point of 157°C (314°F), significantly lower than many other metals. This low melting point is ideal for applications requiring soft, low-temperature soldering. It also makes Indium suitable for thermal interface applications where heat must be conducted without melting other components.
High Malleability and Ductility
Indium wire is highly malleable and soft, which allows it to conform to irregular, rough, or non-machined surfaces. Unlike some metals that are hard and brittle, Indium wire is suitable for applications needing a secure fit like gaskets as well as creating airtight seals.
Thermal and Electrical Conductivity
Indium is an excellent conductor of both heat and electricity. It’s particularly useful in electronics, where it’s used to make efficient connections between components. In thermal management, it transfers heat effectively, which is beneficial for heat-sensitive applications.
Corrosion Resistance
Indium doesn’t easily oxidize or corrode, even when exposed to environmental factors. This property makes it highly durable for long-term applications in vacuum, cryogenic, and other sealed environments where integrity is crucial.
