North Carolina State’s Professor MichaelDickey is arguably the world expert on applications of liquid gallium metal. See his Tedx Talk and also his recent Jones Seminar at my university, Dartmouth College. Professor Dickey has found many interesting applications that may be future products. Some of the applications are, for lack of a better word, clever. Look at these two videos and see if you agree. Most interesting is his emphasis on the “softness” of liquid metals and how this feature will enable liquid metals to be the foundation for wearable electronics.
