Indium Corporation Announces Personnel Updates at Clinton Facility

Indium Corporation is pleased to announce several personnel updates at the company’s facility located on Robinson Road in Clinton, New York. 

Kay Parker has accepted a new role as a Quality Engineering Applications Specialist after spending nearly three years as a Technical Support Engineer with Indium Corporation. In her new role, Parker is focused on the improvement of manufacturing processes, equipment, techniques, and materials to optimize industry applications. This includes supporting root cause investigations through product testing, data collection, and failure analysis. She also lends her expertise to assisting with customer data requests, quality surveys, and internal audits. Prior to joining Indium Corporation in 2018, Parker served as a college intern in the summer of 2015 at the company’s Utica, New York facility on Lincoln Avenue. She earned a bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics with a minor in engineering science from the State University of New York Polytechnic Institute. 

Dr. Casey Rowland, Dr. Mohan Gamage, and Dr. Gerald Decker have all been hired as Research Chemists. In these roles, they are responsible for designing and implementing product formulation studies for new products. This includes the development of product scale-up and manufacturing procedures and conducting training for employees involved the production, promotion, and sales of those products. They also lend their expertise to assisting the production and quality departments.  

Dr. Rowland received his doctorate degree in inorganic chemistry from the University of Delaware and a bachelor’s degree in materials chemistry from West Virginia Wesleyan College. Prior to joining Indium Corporation, he was a graduate research assistant and a lab technician.

Dr. Gamage earned his doctorate degree in chemistry from the University of Miami and he holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Colombo. Prior to his position with Indium Corporation, Dr. Gamage was a graduate research assistant at the University of Miami. 

Dr. Decker received his doctorate degree in chemistry and biochemistry from the University of Delaware and a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the College of New Jersey. Prior to joining Indium Corporation, Dr. Decker was a research assistant at the University of Delaware.
