Indium Corporation to Kick Off Season Three of EV InSIDER Live Webcast Series with Charging Session

February 8, 2024

Indium Corporation's EV InSIDER Live webcast series is set to launch its third season on February 22 with a live LinkedIn session titled Fixing America's Broken Fast Chargers, featuring special guest Kameale Terry. Terry is co-founder and CEO of ChargerHelp!, a company that enables on-demand repair of EV charging stations.

EV InSIDER Live is co-hosted by Indium Corporation's Global Head of e-Mobility and Infrastructure Brian O'Leary and EV consultant and CEO of EVAdoption Loren McDonald. It is conducted in a candid and conversational format suitable for business executives, casual observers, and seasoned engineers alike.

In the upcoming session, Terry will help O'Leary and McDonald unpack the reliability and uptime challenges facing the DC fast charging industry, and outline potential solutions. Together, they will examine three key topic areas:

  1. Telecom Network's Impact on Charger Availability
  2. Charging Network Software and Interoperability: Beyond Lab Testing
  3. Accountability in Charger Unavailability: Identifying the Responsible Parties

"Perhaps the hottest topic in the EV charging industry throughout 2023 has been the issue of reliability and uptime. Numerous studies and articles have catalogued the poor charging experience at many stations and that often as many as 25% of fast chargers may not be able to successfully charge an EV," said O'Leary. "Guided by Kameale's expertise, Loren and I look forward to unraveling the layers of challenges within the DC charging industry and exploring potential solutions."

Terry is the co-founder and CEO of ChargerHelp!, an app that enables on-demand repair of electric vehicle charging stations. As the former Director of Programs at EV Connect, an EV charge station network provider, she structured and led teams to execute EV infrastructure projects and programs in the United States, Australia, and Canada for commercial and government entities. Her most notable projects include the Electrify America - Phase One Program, the Southern California Edison Charge Ready Pilot, and the New York Power Authority portfolio. Prior to this role, Terry created, hired, and oversaw the Customer Experience Department at EV Connect by partnering with the South Bay Workforce Investment Board to employ candidates from the local community. As a South-Central Los Angeles native, Terry believes an equitable green economy can be achieved through impactful workforce development and realignment.
