  • As I sit at my desk on the last full day of my internship, I think about how amazing it was to have the opportunity to be an Indium Corporation intern. I’ve learned so many new skills, improved the skills I came in with, and met people who have made a lifelong impact on me.  I can’t begin to express how grateful I am for everything Indium Corporation has done to make this internship one I will never forget.

Before starting this internship, I wasn’t sure how it was going to turn out. I heard so many people rave about the company’s culture, and how it was a great company to work for; but those were just words, until I was able to experience it for myself. I can assure you, they were all right. The culture here at Indium Corporation is unlike any other. People are kinder, and genuinely care about your work and helping you improve your skills as much as they possibly can.

One of Indium Corporations core slogans is “The Indium Way.” “The Indium Way” consists of three main principles: respect, appreciation, and achievement. Each employee abides by these standards, and it shows in the outcome of their work. The employees at Indium Corporation have been so welcoming to the interns and have really made us feel like part of the family. They treat us like co-workers and friends, not like interns or children.

I would like to thank my supervisor, Anita Brown, for guiding me through the last 10 weeks. I have learned so much from her, and I am forever thankful for all the help she has given me, and the skills she has taught me that will help me in the future. I would also like to thank Rick Short, Anne Bazan, and Jingya Huang, for making me feel at home in the Marcom department. Each of these individuals taught me something different, and I had so much fun getting to know them.

As I prepare to start my last semester at Le Moyne College, I can’t wait to take the skills I’ve learned at Indium Corporation with me. Not only have I learned skills that will help me in the classroom, but skills that are pertinent to work-life as well. I have learned how to interact with employees, and how to have fun while still completing each task to the best of my abilities.

I’m thankful for the other interns and the fun we’ve had over the course of this program, and to everyone at Indium Corporation who made this office feel like home.

    Best,

    Brittney
