Indium Corporation, Utica’s Technology Company®, is proud to announce the promotion of Jonathan Minter to the position of Research Chemist. Jonathan is based at the company’s Clinton facility and is responsible for applied research and development activities, especially as it relates to new flux formulations for solder paste. He also provides technical service and application support to Indium Corporation sales and production staff.
Minter joined Indium Corporation in 2015. Since then, he has served as manager of the company’s Process Development Lab, working alongside Indium Corporation’s experts to develop alloys and fluxes. During his time at Indium Corporation, he has presented several times at the Minerals, Metals, and Materials Society conference, and co-authored A Brief Review on High-Temperature, Pb-Free Die-Attach Materials, which was published in the Journal of Electronic Materials in 2018. He earned his bachelor’s degree in chemistry and his master’s degree in chemistry education from the State University of New York at Cortland.
