Indium Corporation, Utica’s Technology Company®, is proud to announce an upcoming presentation by David Socha, Technology Assessment Manager, at the ASM International Mohawk Valley Chaptertechnical meeting on November 12 at the Spaghetti Kettle in Clinton, N.Y.
Socha will present Non-Toxic, Room Temperature Liquid Metal and its Many Applications. There are many applications for non-mercury liquid metal alloys, ranging from wearable electronics, smart contact lenses, actuators, advanced thermal interface materials (TIMs), self-healing circuits, and more.
Socha and his team are responsible for analyzing and investigating emerging markets and technologies that could provide new opportunities for Indium Corporation. He earned a bachelor’s degree in applied economics and business management from Cornell University, and a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University at Albany. He holds several US Patents for solid-state lighting devices (LED) comprising semiconductor nanocrystal complexes.
The event kicks off with a social hour at 5:30 p.m. and dinner at 6:30 p.m., followed by David’s presentation. The deadline for reservations is November 5.
