Indium Corporation was awarded the first IPC J-STD-004 Qualified Products Listing (QPL) certificate by the IPC Association at the fall IPC Standards Development Committee Meetings.
The meetings were held at the SMTA International Conference and Exhibition in Fort Worth, Texas.
The award was presented to Tim Jensen, Product Manager – PCB Assembly Materials, by Randy Cherry, IPC Director of Validation Services.
“Indium Corporation recognizes the technical importance of reducing material qualification cycle times,” Jensen said. “IPC Validation Services are an integral part of our global ‘From One Engineer To Another®’ program.”
Indium Corporation was the first electronic materials manufacturer to participate in IPC’s new Validation Services QPL/QML Program, which launched earlier this year. Indium Corporation’s facility in Clinton, N.Y. was the first site to undergo an audit based on the IPC J-STD-004 standards. In addition to completing the program, Indium Corporation technology experts provided feedback to IPC, which enabled the program to focus on technical processes.
