Job Summary and Responsibilities:
The Area Technical Manager (ATM) is primarily responsible for providing technical support to
sales activities and ensuring effective technical service delivery within the assigned territory. The
role involves supporting customers through product and process recommendations,
troubleshooting, on-site evaluations, and product qualifications while strengthening customer
relationships and business growth.
The ATM serves as a technical resource and spokesperson for the company by educating and
training customers, distributors, and internal teams. The position also requires gathering
customer feedback on technical requirements and market trends to support continuous
improvement and business development.
The role includes identifying, planning, and executing technical programs that contribute to
innovative applications and the expansion of existing and new technologies aligned with Indium
Corporation's business objectives. Strong collaboration with technical, manufacturing,
engineering, R&D, sales, and marketing teams is essential to ensure successful program
execution and strategic support.
In addition, the ATM participates in technical strategic planning and may support regional
business and marketing initiatives. Building a strong professional network and promoting
Indium's reputation as an industry technical leader are also key expectations.
The position requires preparation of technical reports, presentations, blogs, and documentation of
experimental findings. Continuous technical learning and professional development through
training, conferences, projects, and market research are strongly encouraged.
The ideal candidate should be highly self-motivated, independent, capable of working effectively
in a team environment, and willing to travel frequently at short notice, with expected travel
ranging from 25% to 50%. The ATM is also responsible for any additional duties assigned by
Management or their Superior from time to time.
Job Requirements
Education & Experience:
Must Have
- 5 years of experience in a process engineering role in a Semiconductor or SMT environment.
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills.
- Strong written/oral communication skills in English & Thai language are necessary.
- Responsible for task completion.
- Independent self-starter & ability to travel within the region.
- Strong team player with good leadership skills and knowledge of customer/supplier relationships.
- Knowledge of SPC, troubleshooting and 8D reports is a plus.
Should Have
- Bachelor/Master Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related engineering field.
