CLINTON, N.Y., August 11, 2026 — Innovation begins with people and—for the 14th consecutive year—Indium Corporation’s award-winning summer internship program has cultivated the next generation of innovators. Over the course of 10 weeks, 14 students applied their talents and enthusiasm across engineering, research and development, finance, marketing, and other disciplines, gaining valuable professional experience and learning about the company’s culture.
The 2026 internship cohort marked the first official group to experience the do-it-yourself (DIY) format that was piloted in summer 2025. The DIY program structure allows students to design a personalized development plan based on their individual career interests and engage in meaningful projects that contribute directly to Indium Corporation business goals. This flexible approach ensures students can focus on individual skill development while benefiting from mentorship from experienced professionals through immersive learning in a collaborative, innovative environment.

Students representing four countries and 13 U.S. universities comprised this year’s cohort, bringing diverse perspectives that both sparked new ways of thinking and strengthened the company’s unique culture.
Since its inception in 2014, Indium Corporation’s 10-week internship program has been a launchpad for talented college students in materials science and other STEM-related fields, as well as non-technical roles in sales, marketing, and human resources. The program is open to undergraduate and graduate students with applications accepted in the fall for the following summer.
