Indium Corporation Features LV1000 at IMS 2015
April 14, 2015
Indium Corporation will feature its LV1000 flux coating for solder preforms at the International Microwave Symposium (IMS) May 17-22 in Phoenix, Ariz.
LV1000, Indium Corporation’s award-winning new flux coating, offers low voiding, especially for bottom termination components, which do not allow for proper outgassing of volatized flux. Its glossy, uniform coating is durable, so it can be integrated easily into automated assembly processes.
LV1000 is halide-free, meeting ROL0 requirements, and passes Telcordia GR-78 testing in the unactivated state. The coating’s tolerances are well controlled, down to 0.25 percent by weight, to ensure that the correct amount of flux is delivered. LV1000 is versatile, allowing for the coating of unique geometries and sizes
LV1000, winner of CIRCUITS ASSEMBLY’s 2015 NPI Award for fluxes, consists of both a unique flux formulation and a coating process to produce flux-coated solder preforms that meet the tightest tolerances for flatness. This minimizes defects by ensuring that electronic components solder correctly.
