Indium Corporation's Andy C. Mackie, PhD, MSc, senior product manager for semiconductor and advanced assembly materials, will present at the World Congress on Smart Materials (WCSM-2015) March 23-25 in Busan, South Korea.
Dr. Mackie's presentation, Reactive Metal Nanofilms as Instantaneous Heat Sources: A Review of Theory and Applications, provides details on film formation techniques, physical chemistry of the reaction, and critical control parameters of NanoFoil®. NanoFoil is a reactive multi-layer foil and instantaneous heat source for applications across a variety industries. Dr. Mackie will also share examples of various NanoFoil applications.
Dr. Mackie is an electronics industry expert in physical chemistry, surface chemistry, rheology, and semiconductor assembly materials and processes. He has more than 20 years of experience in new product and process development, and materials marketing in all areas of electronics manufacturing, from wafer fabrication to semiconductor packaging and electronics assembly. Dr. Mackie has a doctorate in physical chemistry from the University of Nottingham, U.K., and a Master of Science in Colloid and Interface Science from the University of Bristol, U.K. Additionally, he is formally trained in Six Sigma – Design of Experiments.
WCSM-2015 is intended to provide a platform for professionals around the world to exchange and identify opportunities for state-of-the-art research and development.
