Indium Corporation announces that Jian-Guo (Jeff) Luo has been hired as a research metallurgist.
Luo is responsible for researching and developing lead-free low-melting solder alloys. This includes alloy formulation; the improvement of mechanical strength, ductility, and solderability; and soldering life reliability testing.
Luo has more than 12 years of experience in product development, process improvement, and quality control with companies, including Epistone Comp-Semi Materials Co., Ltd. and American Xtal Technology, Inc. His expertise includes semiconductor, photovoltaic, photoelectronic, and electronics assembly technologies.
Luo earned a master’s degree in metallurgical engineering from the Central South University of Technology in China. He earned his Ph.D. in materials science from the University of Alabama.
