Indium tin oxide (ITO) is a composite material consisting of indium(III) oxide (In₂O₃) and tin (IV) oxide (SnO₂), typically in a 90:10 weight ratio. Known for its exceptional transparency and low sheet resistance, ITO is a preferred choice for flat panel displays and touch sensors. Indium Corporation offers premium, high-purity ITO products in bulk, suitable for fabricating sputter targets or creating ink formulations. Our ITO is provided in powder form, which can be compressed and sintered into sputter targets or used to produce ink-like coatings.

Indium Oxide to Tin Oxide Ratio

While the 90/10 ratio of indium oxide to tin oxide is commonly preferred, we also offer alternative ratios to meet diverse needs. Our formulations range from 87% to 95% indium oxide by weight, enabling precise customization of sheet resistance and transparency in deposited films to suit specific customer requirements.

Particle Size Distribution

Our powder particles are precisely controlled to ensure a consistent size distribution, which plays a crucial role in the performance of our ITO products. The particle size and BET (surface area per unit mass) are closely related, and we carefully manage the BET value throughout our processes. We also provide this information with every shipment to support optimal performance in your applications.

Impurity Control

Metallic impurities can greatly affect the electronic and optical performance of ITO films. We enforce stringent controls to minimize these impurities and provide detailed documentation of their levels in the Certificate of Analysis (COA) for each shipment.
