Gallium trichloride (GaCl3), also known as gallium chloride, is essential in the MOCVD industry. It’s a key component in creating the gallium precursor Tri-Methyl-Gallium (TMG) for growing GaN layers in CVD processes. Additionally, it’s used in making lithium thionyl chloride (LTC) batteries for oil and gas drilling operations and in producing gallium-based quantum dots like GaP.
