Indium Corporation announces that Sehar Samiappan has been appointed Regional Manager for Northern California.
In his new role, Samiappan will be responsible for growing Indium Corporation's market share by coordinating all sales and technical activities for Indium Corporation's full product line, including solder paste, solder preforms, fluxes, thermal interface materials, and die-attach materials. In addition, he will support a regional team of sales representatives and distributors.
"I am very much looking forward to applying my technical expertise to help customers enhance their current processes and discover new ways to benefit from Indium Corporation's offerings," said Samiappan.
Samiappan joined Indium Corporation in 2001 and has served in a variety of positions. In his most recent role as Area Technical Manager for North Malaysia, the Philippines, and Vietnam, he was responsible for providing Indium Corporation's customers with field technical support, product training and troubleshooting, and assisting with customer evaluations and DOEs. Samiappan, previously based in Penang, Malaysia, has more than 18 years of experience. He is an SMTA-certified process engineer and has earned his Six Sigma Green Belt.
