Few CIGS (copper indium gallium (di)selenide) cell manufacturers jump right to depositing the active CIG layer with a full-size rotary copper-indium-gallium sputtering target. This is only done by companies that have confidence in their chemistry; confidence earned through rigorous R&D experience. To get to this point, most engineers experiment with small Cu-Ga and In planar targets so they can adjust chemistry easily. The next logical step is to either move to a small CIG planar target, or to scale up to a larger planar or rotary set of targets.
The Indium Corporation supports CIG sputtering processes with small or large targets of many different custom chemistries. Contact us at email@example.com to learn how we can turn your formulation and process into reality!
